The Biogeography Lab started in 2009, when A. Baselga got a tenure-track position at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). The main goal of our lab is to improve our understanding of the processes structuring biodiversity at different spatial and temporal scales. We study a wide array of organisms, ecosystems and biogeographical regions, but are mostly attracted to European beetles.
Current members: Andrés Baselga, Carola Gómez-Rodríguez, M. Olalla Lorenzo-Carballa, Jose A. Sanabria-Fernandez, and Victoria Formoso-Freire.
